Timothy Druckrey is a curator, writer, and editor specializing in contemporary media and art practices, and is the Director of the Graduate Photographic and Electronic Media program at MICA, (the Maryland Institute College of Art), in Baltimore, MD. He lives in New York, NY. Druckrey lectures internationally about the social impact of photography, electronic media, the transformation of representation, and communication in interactive and networked environments. He has edited influential texts on topics of digital and electronic art, photography and cinema, including Future Cinema: The Cinematic Imaginary After Film, and Ars Electronica: Facing the Future: A Survey of Two Decades (Electronic Culture: History, Theory, and Practice).
