Timothy Donnelly

Timothy B. Donnelly (born 1969) is a poet. In 2003 he published 27 Props for a Production of Eine Lebenszeit with Grove Press's poetry series (which has since ceased to exist), with a foreword by Richard Howard. In 2003 he was Entertainment Weekly's "It" List Poet. He is an assistant professor in the Columbia University School of the Arts Writing Division. He has been poetry editor of the Boston Review since 1995. He has a Master of Fine Arts degree from the same institution at which he teaches. His poetry demonstrates a broad knowledge and command of the range of contemporary styles, and is notable for its readability: it possess a quality such that often the line breaks do not act as obstacles to the progress of the reader, but are moved smoothly across. The poetry is notably avant-garde.
