Tim Cheese follows the trend of lore surrounding the story of John Pork. Similarly, the fictional character Tim Cheese is often depicting within a phone call, seemingly calling the viewer. The Tim Cheese meme is a continuation of the trend of the creation of internet memes with a popular idol or nonsensical figure depicted within the background whilst a call icon is depicted within the front of the image., citing the lack of mainstream and understandable memes during the early months of 2025, as well as being criticized as being lobotomy (used as a slang term for incomprehensible content) and brain rot<ref name":4" />.
