History
Kendra and Krista Slaubaugh are the daughters of Kendall and Brenda Slaubaugh. Kendra was born in Racine, Wisconsin and Krista in Hazen, North Dakota. They have a younger sister Karli. Kendra and Krista began singing and performing in church at an early age. They began to harmonize together and started writing original material with Krista accompanying the two on guitar. Vast and positive responses to their performances posted on social media convinced the sisters to pursue careers as professional musicians. The duo initially called themselves Tigirlily because they felt it captured their essence of being both tenacious and alluring, with Krista being the former and Kendra being the latter. The name was modified on December 22, 2012 to also capture their appreciation and respect of "girl power." Krista Slaubaugh plays guitar on all recordings and at the band's live shows. The duo also employs back up musicians from both North Dakota and Nashville for studio work and live performances.
