History
*1887 — The firm was founded in Adelaide, South Australia.
*2002 — The firm opens its second office, in Sydney.
*2006 — The firm acquires Sydney firm Cowley Hearne.
*2008 — The firm merges with Sydney firm Cutler Hughes & Harris to become Thomson Playford Cutlers.
*2009 — The firm acquires the Melbourne office of the firm Dibbs Abbott Stillman.
*2010 — The firm rebrands as Thomsons Lawyers.
*2011 — The firm opens its Brisbane office.
*2014 — The firm merges with Melbourne-based firm Herbert Geer to become Thomson Geer.
