Socrates three sieves
In an earlier version of this rule contains only true, necessary and kind conditions.
It is presented as a story Socrates three sieves or as a quote attributed to Bernard Meltzer:
Before you speak ask yourself if what you are going to say is true, is kind, is necessary, is helpful. If the answer is no, maybe what you are about to say should be left unsaid.
