Theodore Somach

Theodore W. Somach is an American businessman and financier. He is the founder and CEO of Entertainment Distribution Group, and through his holding company TWS Holdings LLC manages over 40 brands.
Early Life and career
Mr. Somach was born in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania. He attended the Haverford School and Episcopal Academy before moving to Manchester By The Sea, Massachusetts, an elite suburb of Boston. Somach lived in Cambridge, Massachusetts from 2006-2007, where he managed a Tower Records Store and his first record label Hazardous Records from his Upland St. Apartment. Hazardous Records signed Nettwerk Entertainment artist Griffin House, when Somach was only 14.
While growing up, Somach had widespread exposure to the entertainment industry, accompanying his father on business trips to a variety of major record labels including Capitol Records/EMI, Epic Records, Ruffhouse Records, and more.
As a child, Somach accompanied his parents on tour with the Rolling Stones during three of their world tours (Voo Doo lounge, Bridges to Babylon, and No Security). He was brought on stage at the beginning of the Rolling Stones Madison Square Garden show, during their No Security Tour, and decided at the young age of 12 that his future would be in the entertainment industry.
In 2008, Somach moved to Fayetteville, Arkansas to attend the University of Arkansas. During his three and a half years in Arkansas, Somach grew a business he had started in 2006 into an e-commerce operation with over $175,000 in yearly revenue. Somach graduated in 2011, after studying economics and history, and paid his entire way through college with the earnings from his company.
After completing school, Somach moved to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and was the general manager of a music distribution company. He also worked as a director of development for a large non-profit organization in the Philadelphia suburbs and staged and managed fundraising events for Glenn Beck, John Stossel, and a variety of other conservative political pundits.
Somach currently resides in Limassol, Cyprus and along with his US entertainment companies, is heavily involved with import/export to the Middle East and EU.
Car Accident
On July 4th, 2012, Somach's car was struck by another car and flipped onto its side. He was the featured news story in Philadelphia for surviving the crash unharmed.
Current Activities
Somach is setting up large scale distribution operations in the EU, UK, Brazil, and Russia.
