theAsianparent.com Pte Ltd (TAP) is an online parenting magazine targeting parents living in Asia. Its targeted at educated and culturally engaged parents with children aged 0-12 years residing in Asia or of Asian heritage. The site was launched in May 2008. Editorial Focus The magazine differs from traditional magazines in Singapore and Malaysia by not solely concentrating on the traditional caregiving aspects of parenting. Instead, the magazine takes into account paternal involvement, spirituality, local Asian cultural aspects of parenting. Exposure and Reach It has a monthly readership of around 65,000. With more than 40,000 members on Facebook, it is also the largest South-East Asian parenting group on a social networking site. The magazine is also Singapore's top 100 Twitterers with nearly 5,000 followers according to twitterholic.com. With individual Singapore, Indonesia, India and Philippine portals already running, work is in progress to launch portals for Hong Kong and Malaysia by the first quarter of 2011.
