The Young Diaspora of Bosnia and Herzegovina

As a result of the global youth meeting in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) on July 21-27, 2007, a new organization was established called Savez “Mlada dijaspora” Bosne i Hercegovine (The Young Diaspora of Bosnia and Herzegovina). This is a Bosnian-Herzegovinian (BH) association of youth and student organizations from the diaspora who support a united, sovereign, and democratic Bosnia and Herzegovina. Savez “Mlada dijaspora” Bosne i Hercegovine also supports Bosnia and Herzegovina as a future member state of the European Union and promotes the principles on which the European Union was founded. The main principles and goals of Savez “Mlada dijaspora” Bosne i Hercegovine are networking and connecting of all youth and student organizations in order to develop closer cooperation. An additional priority is to harvest the potential of youth and students of the BH diaspora to ensure that BiH has a modern and a strong diaspora. Savez “Mlada dijaspora” Bosne i Hercegovine wishes that highly educated and talented young people never lose contact and ties with BiH, and that they have an organization in whose activities they can participate, as well as further their own ideas and projects. Currently, the organizations actively involved with Savez “Mlada dijaspora” Bosne i Hercegovine are: *Academy of BiH (USA) *Avangarda BiH (Germany) *Behar (Spain) *BH4 (Slovenia) *BONUS Denmark (Denmark) *BHUF (Sweden) *Collegium Bosniacum (Austria) *Mladi BiH (The Netherlands) *Federacija udruzenja kulture Bosne i Hercegovine u Republici Turskoj (Turkey) *Stecak (Norway) *Terra BiH (Croatia) *YA BIH (Italy) *Urbani pokret (France) *Bosnian-Herzegovinian Youth Association of Canada (Canada).
