The Sydney Globalist

The Sydney Globalist is an international affairs magazine published bi-annually by students at the University of Sydney, Australia. It is currently staffed by 40 undergraduate students from a range of academic disciplines. The magazine aspires to publish the best in student ideas, writing and analysis on international affairs. Its audience encompasses students, academics, analysts, civil society, opinion-makers and the foreign policy community.
The magazine is part of the Global21 network. Founded at Yale University in 2005, Global21 seeks to connect high-achieving students around the world in ways that will remain with them as they become tomorrow’s leaders in business, the non-profit sector, and government. Since its founding, Global21 has established chapters at Yale University, Peking University, the University of Cambridge, the University of Sydney, the University of Toronto, the University of Cape Town, the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, St. Stephen’s University in New Delhi, Bogazici University in Istanbul, and Sciences Po of Paris.
Mission
The Sydney Globalist is intended as a forum for undergraduate students to discuss international affairs at an intellectual and meaningful level. It has no political affiliation and hopes to provide as pluralistic an approach as possible. The magazine is distributed to governments, academics, think-tanks and non-government organisations.

The March 2012 issue was produced with the support of the Department of Government and International Relations, the Sydney Law School, the UNSW Law School, the UTS Law School, International House at the University of Sydney, and the College of Asia and the Pacific at the Australian National University.
Issues of The Sydney Globalist
The Sydney Globalist has been in publication since 2005, the same year that the Global21 network was founded at Yale University. Since that time it has been publishing a bi-annual magazine with a readership of over 4000 students a year.
