The St Andrews Social Scientist

The St Andrews Social Scientist is a student published online magazine pertaining to Economics, International Relations and Sustainable Development.
It aims to give students from all over the world the chance to showcase their journalistic skills but at the same time maintains a high academic standard. The review process is rigorous and only well researched articles on relevant issues make the bi-monthly publication.
Issues covered in the past include amongst others:
* Microfinance
* Islamic Finance
* Yemen and Qat
* Technology in Somalia
* Capitalism and Growth
* Rationality and Game Theory
* Sports Cars and the 'green trend'

It's first Issue was published on May 1st 2010. Since it is a student publication it will only be published during term time meaning that the next issue can be expected around September 2010.
It is supported by a number of departments at the University of St Andrews, such as the Economics, International Relations and Management Departments.
