The Sunny Era

The Sunny Era is a five piece multi-instrumental and vocal ensemble that fuses Experimental Indie Rock, Romani, and Spanish styles. Based in Minneapolis, Minnesota, the quartet is made up of Eric Stainbrook, who sings and plays classical guitar, electric guitar, and theremin; Laila Stainbrook, who plays violin, accordion, and piano; and Rob Foehl, who plays percussion.

History
The Sunny Era began as TEMP, a band fronted by Mike Graves and included Patrick and Anthony Zampogna and Eric Stainbrook. TEMP became Capacity 240 and eventually The Common fronted by Pat, including Tony on bass, Eric on drums, and eventually also added guitarist Josh Gefroh. The quartet played together for four years and released two CDs. Shortly after releasing their second album, Josh moved, opening up the opportunity for Eric to switch gears from drummer to singer/guitarist. In April 2006, Connection Lost was released under the new moniker, The Sunny Era. Eric brought Laila to the band, and by October the group joined with percussionist Robert Foehl. Presently, The Sunny Era is working to collaborate musically and is poised to release their second album in 2009.

The song: Azbidel's Life, Causing Ruin and Destruction was featured on Twin Town High: Music Yearbook Volume 9.
