The Strange Likeness was an unpublished, and mostly un-written title, in the Judy Bolton Series of mystery stories written by Margaret Sutton.
In 1984, Sutton responded to the question of any unpublished Judy Bolton books, by explaining that The Strange Likeness was to be book 39, and Judy would have had twins: Peter and Pam. The story was to take place in Panama, after Judy followed her husband down there. The story had its basis in a trip Sutton had taken to panama in the 1960's.
Grosset & Dunlap refused to publish the book, as they didn't want Judy to have children, feeling it would make Judy seem too "old".
Sutton only finished the first few chapters, due to G & D's refusal to continue the series.
Another children's book by the same title, written by Harriet Pyne Grove, was published in 1929, but is unrelated to the Judy Bolton series.
