The Same Parents is the second single off of Enigma's seventh studio album, Seven Lives Many Faces. It was released as a promotional single to radio stations worldwide on 10 November 2008. The song features main vocals from Michael Cretu's twins, Nikita and Sebastian. Cretu claims the idea for the song came from a question posed by his children, which became the chorus of the song.
The music video is included on the DVD album of Seven Lives Many Faces. It shows images of fire and kaleidoscopic vistas while the lyrics to the song appear as they are sung. It is one of the few videos from this album that feature original footage as opposed to altered images from previous Enigma videos.
