The Reason We Took It Underground was an afterhour party located in Chicago, Illinois which featured techno, trance and house music. One of the longest running illegal afterhours in the city, it was known for it's constantly changing locale, and VIP guests that would frequent it. DJ Fredfox was the resident and feature promoter. The series began in October of 1999 and came to an end in early 2004.
A lot of world-renowned DJs, such as Cajmere, Farley Jackmaster Funk, Richie Hawtin, Carl Cox and Dimitri from Paris among others have performed more than once. Celebrity guests included Paris Hilton, Britney Spears, Justin Timberlake, R kelly and others whom prefer to remain nameless...
