The Pete Plan

The Pete Plan is an indoor rowing training plan for use by athletes training on the Concept2 Indoor rower.

History
The Pete Plan was derived from the Wolverine Plan , a training plan used by the University of Michigan women's rowing team. It is designed as training for an indoor rowing competitor for a 2000m race on the Concept2 rowing machine.

Structure
The Pete Plan includes a mixture of interval and steady state training on the Concept2 rowing machine. The sessions follow a three weekly cycle, with each session repeating after each three week period, allowing progress and improvements to be accuately judged by the athlete. The structure of the training plan is such that an athlete can follow the training principles without the need for outside coaching.
