The Melodramatics

The Melodramatics is an American Reggae Rock Band from Redding, CA. Originally formed in 2001 as a ska punk trio, the band evolved into a hybrid of Reggae, Ska, Rock, and Punk. The bands original line-up consisted of Caleb Saccheri (vocals and guitar), Wiley Saccheri (drums), and Jesse Geron (bass guitar). The current lineup comprises guitarist/vocalist Caleb Saccheri, bassist Jesse Geron, drummer Drail, and trombonist/keyboardist Richard Hughes (Dick the Boner).


The band has a number of self-released albums, most notably Disturbing the Peace (2007) and Superpower (2009). The bands next release is slated for release sometime in early 2010.


In September of 2009 The Melodramatics were selected as High Times band of the week and runner-up for band of the month. The Melodramatics have shared the stage with such acts as The Ataris, Mystic Roots, The Holdup, Forrest Day, The Skaflaws, and Dizzy Balloon.
