The Learning Center Foundation

The Learning Center Foundation is a non-profit foundation dedicated to research and the diffusion of knowledge for assisting children with learning disabilities, especially dyslexia. It was founded in 1967 by psychologist Dr. Gerald Deskin, and continues to run as non-profit foundation in Encino, California. In its nearly four decades of existence, The Learning Center has assisted many tens of thousands of children from the greater Los Angeles area.

History
The Learning Center Foundation began in a couple of rooms of an office building in Encino. Very quickly it expanded to consume the entire office building.

The Learning Center is an approved candidate for WASC Accreditation.
