The Last Block in Harlem

The, written by Christopher Herz, is the first novel published from Canal Publishing. The title of the novel comes from the location of where the story is told, between the blocks of 145th Street and 155th Street in the Sugar Hill district of Harlem, New York City.
The story follows a man who is fed up with the corporate life and quits his job to make what he believes will be a significant mark on the world. His determination to accomplish something puts him in the center of a political fight to keep his neighborhood from changing against the oncoming chain stores that are slowly replacing the bodegas and corner shops.
