The Kung Fu Mummy is a 2005 American low budget cult film written and directed by Randy Morgan. It is an experimental motion picture that teeters on the brink of low-brow humor and gutter-cinema. Synopsis A mummy from ancient Peru is exhumed and set loose on the streets of modern-day Hollywood with $200 million in rare jewels stuffed inside of him. Of course, it doesn't take long for every crook in town and every Los Angeles city official wants a piece of the Mummy's treasure. Partial cast *Amerika as The Hooker *Swimmy as The Mummy *Big Mike as Dealer *Craig Gruber as The Cobra *Eric Harris as Native *Randy Morgan as Bill Sloan *Ron Browder as Sarge *Abraham Cloud as Elmer *Jeff Salter as Master Tu Long (The Kingpin) *Noah Kempler as Wally *John Edmund Parcher as Worm *Scott Ruhlen as Dr. Flint Release The Kung Fu Mummy was included in the 2008 Underground Short Film Festival in San Francisco, California in a Director's Showcase of Randy Morgan's body of films. It is distributed by Echelon Studios through Singa Home Entertainment, as well as being available on Netflix and on VOD worldwide. Reception Steve Anderson of Film Threat found the film to be surprisingly funny for having been made with so little investment, writing "Morgan and company have to resort to topless chicks within the first two minutes, a sure sign that we're not in for any kind of joy here.", "it's cheap. It's cheesy. It's got more filler than off-brand parmesan cheese. But you know what? It's funny", and concluding "if you've got a thing for scatological and / or sexual humor, breakaway furniture, and some guy's vacation videos, then you'll probably get everything you want out of The Kung-Fu Mummy". When reviewing the DVD release, Fabian van der Meer of Moviesense felt the film had merit for being so low budget.
