Vendetta: a christmas story

Vendetta: A Christmas Story is an independent low-budget short comedy/action film made in 1997 about the police chasing Santa Claus. It is made by Brendan Smith, Sean Smith, and Jonathan Field.
Plot
At the beginning of the movie, Santa, Mrs. Claus, and the elves are happily toiling in their home. Then, the police burst into his house, leading towards an intense action sequence. Mrs. Claus, as well as several elves, are killed in the gunfire. The rest of the film essentially is the pursuit of Santa by two policeman and their chief.
Format and Production of the Film
The film, was released online in two parts, the second of which being a direct continuation of the first. The entire film, as described by the official site, was made for less than one hundred dollars. The site gives a specific breakdown of the various costs behind the movie's production, proving that the film is, indeed, as low-budget as they claim.
DVD Release
While Vendetta never had an official DVD release, for an undetermined period of time, the makers of the film have been willing to send DVDs to fans who send them an email request.
Exposure to the Public
In addition to attracting internet attention, Vendetta has been aired on local television stations in San Francisco. In addition, the movie's creators note that "It was also the audience favorite at the IMAGE 99 film festival in Palo Alto."

On January 24, 2000, the Internet Movie Databse (IMDb) added Vendetta to its listings, officially acknowledging Vendetta as a proper film.
