The immigrant magician is a contemporary fiction novel that details the travails, trials and tribulations of international students as they make their way to a foreign country in search of education and to fulfill their dreams. The book focuses on the experiences of the protagonist as he arrives to the US in the middle of the recession. With an anemic economy, an ineffectual amount of work experience and a shaky job market he sets about trying to redefine himself and his circumstances. In so doing, he comes across massive challenges, rapturous love affairs and the omnipresent voice of God that guides him along every path he stumbles upon. In placing his faith on his Inner voice he, in fact, relies on the ever-present voice of God. God who through thick and thin is his only mentor and source of strength. As is the case with so many other students who go to different countries to realize their ambitions. This is a story of man’s subservience to God and our reliance on his grace.
