The Hero Status

The Hero Status are a British pop punk music trio. The band originally met whilst studying at The University of York in 2006, forming in early 2008 to enter a battle of the bands competition as "a friendship endeavor more than a musical endeavor". With just 3 weeks to go to the heats of the competition they still had no songs fully written, a drummer that had never drummed, and a bassist that couldnt play the bass. In the end the band pulled together and "delivered a thrilling set to the toe-tapping crowd", going on to reach the finals of the competition. Their music has been described as a mixture of pop punk and indie pop, similiar to bands such as The Matches, Motion City Soundtrack, Wheatus and The Hoosiers. |
