The Godling Chronicles

The Godling Chronicles are a set of 6 young adult fantasy novels written by the American author Brian D. Anderson. The plot is primarily centered around the character of Gewey Stedding, a farmer from the village of Sharpstone, who comes to learn that he is actually the son of two gods, making him a god in human form by the name of Darshan. He is destined to unite the elves and men, who have been bitter enemies for generation after generation, in a war against a tyrant in the making - a man known as the Dark Knight of Angrääl or the Reborn King, who has captured the Sword of Truth, closing the gate of heaven and separating the peoples of the land from all gods but Darshan.
About the Author
According to his Web site, Brian D. Anderson was born on December 12th, 1971 and was raised in Spanish Fort, a small town across the bay from Mobile, Alabama. He moved to Fairhope, Alabama and attended Fairhope High School. Later, he attended Springhill College where he majored in history and political science. He spent several years living and working in New York before moving with his wife and son to Florida.
He received inspiration for the Godling Chronicles when his son Jonathan, then 8-years old, returned home from school one afternoon with a great idea for a story, which he shared with his father. Brian, with the help of publisher GMTA, brought Jonathan's story to the world in the form of the first novel in the series, The Sword of Truth. in 2011. He has brought the story to an end in the sixth novel, the Reborn King, in September of 2014.

1. The Sword of Truth

2. Of Gods and Elves
Armies gather for war in the frozen land of Angrääl threatening to set the world ablaze. The elves are divided and scattered and humans fall prey to the dark influence of the Reborn King. Now, Gewey is faced with his greatest challenge yet. Unite the world of elf and human before it is too late...
3. The Shadow of Gods
Valshara has fallen, and the forces of Angrääl are advancing. For the first time, human and elf must shed blood as one, in order to stem the tide of evil. But new hope has arisen. From across the Western Abyss, a people long forgotten have returned. However, hope comes at its own price. Gewey must choose between his bond of love, and his duty to the world he is struggling to save.
4. A Trial of Souls
The time has come for the world to see the true power of the Reborn King. His vast armies march, bringing death and devastation to all who would dare oppose him. But hope will endure if the bonds of friendship, both old and new, remain strong. Gewey, split between the man he wants to be and the god he must become, will test his very soul in order to fulfill his destiny. And only through his love for Kaylia can he hold on to his humanity.
5. Madness of the Fallen
Some secrets are best left forgotten. Some names never spoken. In the depths of Shagharath, a creature of great and terrible power awaits. For countless millennia it has languished in its prison. Now the time has come at last for it to unleash vengeance and ruin upon the earth. As Gewey prepares for his final battle, his courage and strength will be tested as never before. Now he will see that the world is not always as it may appear. And he will discover that common ground can be sometimes found…even with a deadly foe.
6. The Reborn King
The time has come for the fate of Heaven and Earth to be decided. Darshan will now seek out the Reborn King for a final confrontation. But will his power be enough to free the world from certain annihilation? Will he be strong enough to save the people he loves?

Gewey Stedding (Darshan) - a farmer from the village of Sharpstone, he comes to discover that he is not the son of his late father, Harman Stedding. Rather, he is the son of two gods, making him a god, albeit one who bleeds, sleeps, and eats or is 'bound to the earth'. Together with Lee Starfinder, he flees the village of Sharpstone when the Dark Knight finds Gewey's dreams and attempts to discover his location.
Lee Starfinder - a son of Saraf, this half-god is charged by the Oracle of Manisalia with seeking and protecting
