At this point the band was a punk band but as the two discovered the genre of Ska, the two decided the band would feature horns and play music similar to that of Less Than Jake, Mad Caddies, The Mighty Mighty Bosstones and The Specials. The first full band practice was in early 2004 but the band's first gig wasn't until December, that year. Since their first show, at Adelaide's Governor Hindmarsh, Fallouts played a large variety of different gigs around Adelaide, predominantly with punk and ska bands, but from time to time they would play with groups playing rock, funk, jazz, roots, hip-hop, hardcore and metal. Fallouts also supported various interstate bands such as The Resignators (VIC), Chaz.h.Scally (NSW), Zombie Ghost Train (NSW), The Restless Words (WA) and Stand Defiant (TAS). They released two C.D.'s (DEMOlition, Live at the Lawn) which were later compiled together and sold as one CD. In early 2007, the band went into the studio to demo some songs for their upcoming debut album, but tracks or details from these sessions are yet to be released.
