The Dot is a fictional hangout for the students who attend Degrassi Community School in the show Degrassi: The Next Generation, and has appeared as a location numerous times throughout the series. It was introduced in Season 3 (in the Pride episode) and it is where Spinner Mason works. In Season 4, Paige Michalchuk worked at The Dot for a brief period but was fired for being a clumsy waitress. In Season 5, when Craig Manning turned 17, Ellie Nash organized a small get together at The Dot, however it was cut short after Craig found out that his then-girlfriend, Ashley Kerwin, met someone else in London.
The restaurant originally appeared in the series with the name "Tee-Dot Grill" (seen last in episode 304, Pride, Part 1), however during Season 3, its name was changed to "The Dot Grill" (seen first in episode 310, Never Gonna Give You Up). Despite the mid-season modification, there was never any acknowledgment or explanation of the name change in the show. Regarding the original "Tee-Dot Grill" name, it is mentioned in the DVD audio commentary track for episode 304, Pride, Part 1, that there was some variety of bad press surrounding an actual Toronto restaurant of the same name. As such, the name of the fictional restaurant in the show was changed from "Tee-Dot Grill" to "The Dot Grill". Menu Food *Hambuger / chessebuger *French fries *Grilled chicken *Pizza
