The Daylights

The Daylights is a pop-rock band from Los Angeles, California that formed in 2004. The trio is fronted by brothers Ran Jackson and Ricky Jackson, with Svend Lerche on Drums.

They have released their first EP "Shift and Blur" independently in 2004 and were planning to release the next EP "The Propaganda", but instead signed to Epic Records by way of the Daylight Records imprint in 2006. The band spent the bulk of the year writing in advance of their major label debut. The band is currently writing and touring and are scheduled to appear on tour with One Republic the first few months of 2008. The debut record is expected in stores late spring/early summer.

* The Daylights are one of four bands signed by longtime A&R executive David Massey that feature a pair of brothers; The others are: Oasis, The Jonas Brothers, and Good Charlotte.
* David Massey, the A&R executive who signed the band is himself a twin; As are the brothers in Good Charlotte.
*"Little Girl" is featured in the movie Grandma's Boy.
