The Carnegie Pulse was an online-only news magazine at Carnegie Mellon University, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania that no longer appears online. It was often referred to simply as "The Pulse". Content The Carnegie Pulse was divided into three main content sections: News, Art & Culture, and Opinions. It also had an events listing, classifieds, and course scheduling program. History The Carnegie Pulse was first published on February 24, 2004. The organization was formed by three undergraduate students who had been heavily involved at The Tartan. It was founded to bring factual, objective reporting which represents the interests of Carnegie Mellon's on- and off-campus community.
