The Burning Ground

The Burning Ground (referred to by fans as TBG) is a rock band in Houston, Texas consisting of Charlie Ray (guitar), David Nicholas (vocals and bass), and Casey Cowling (drums).
History
Since their formation in early 2007, the band has played numerous shows at local Houston area venues including Javajazz, Fitzgeralds, and the Scout Bar, and have had several songs featured on the Houston radio station 94.5 The Buzz, on Zakk United's show, The Texas Buzz. They came in 2nd place for a contest to play with Godsmack, and recently played with Wes Borland's band, Black Light Burns at the Scout Bar. On July 11, 2008, the band played a dual CD Release show with local Houston rock band "Dine Alone".
The band is currently recording their second album.

;The Optimist: This song was the second song ever recorded, recorded on the same night Cave In was first recorded. This is one of the two songs recorded that was not featured on the first album, but it was released to the public for a short time.
;No, Kill Everyone: This song was recorded, but only released on the early EP's, and re-recorded for the EP featuring Ghost, Mad World, and Cornflake Girl.
