The Brain Cloud

The Brain Cloud are a contemporary Western swing band from New York established in 2010 and named after the Bob Wills song "Brain Cloudy Blues." As of 2013, the lineup includes Tamar Korn on lead vocals, Dennis Lichtman on fiddle, Kevin Dorn on drums, Skip Krevens on electic guitar, Andrew Hall on upright bass, and Raphael McGregor on lap guitar.
Discography
Brain Cloud made their live debut at the 2011 Princeton JazzFeast. As of 2013, the band has released two studio albums, inspired by the authentic sound of pre-1960 blues, jazz, swing, boogie, big band, country, ragtime, bluegrass, rockabilly, and old-time Appalachian folk music. Influences include swing revivalists Asleep at the Wheel and classic jazz artists like Django Reinhardt, BB King, Duke Ellington, Fats Waller, Harry Lillis Crosby, and, in particular, Bob Wills and the Texas Playboys.
