Casey Donahew Band

The Casey Donahew Band is a Texas Country music band based out of Fort Worth Texas. The band is named for lead singer Casey Donahew.
Early Days
Casey started performing while at Texas A&M at bars such as Thirsty Armadillo and R Bar. After he returned home 2002 he spent two years touring smaller area bars. The popularity he gained there enabled him to assemble a band to put behind him. This enabled him to move to larger venues such as the Horseman Club, which hold a thousand fans.
Gaining Momentum
The newly formed band continued to gain momentum by playing larger venues then they were previously able to. This led to the self release of the album Lost Days. In 2005 the band gained the attention of Billy Bob of Billy Bob's Texas, The World’s Largest Honky Tonk. The Casey Donahew Band started to fill in at the Honky Tonk when they did not have a national act.
Continued Success
In 2006 the band released their self titled album "Casey Donahew Band". This album contained their most popular song to date "White Trash Story which has become the bands finale. The song is about "talking about the good times, and drinking down the bad."
In 2008 the band released their first live album "Live-Raw-Real in the Ville". The album was recorded at Bostocks a small town bar. The album also contained four previously unreleased studio songs. Amung these songs was "Crazy" which was released as a single and became the band's first #1 hit on the Texas Music Chart in June of 2008. It also achieved the #17 song of the year on the Texas Music Chart. Casey was also nominated for a Gruene with Envy Texas music award as New Artist of the Year.
