Thaara is an Indian Malayalam language film written and directed by Dheswin Prem, under the banner of Antonio Motion Pictures, Close Shot Entertainments and Sameer Movies. Anusree plays the lead role of Sithara in the film which discusses the freedom spaces of women's life.
The story unfolds through some unexpected events in the life of Sithara, who travels with taxi driver Siva from Chennai to Kochi. Sanal Aman, who is notable for his role as Freddy in Malik, plays Siva. The film also stars Vigilesh and Divya Gopinath. Nan Saravanan, who played the psycho criminal Christopher in the Tamil crime thriller 'Ratsasan', is coming to Malayalam for the first time through Thaara. Thaara is produced by Jebin JB. Sameer PM and Prebha Joseph are Executive Producers. Dialogues and Lyrics are from writer Bineesh Puthuppanam. The first schedule has been completed in Kerala in October 2021. The second schedule starts in Chennai by November 2021.
