Thanga Magan is the upcoming Indian Tamil romantic comedy film directed by A. L. Vijay and produced by Chandra Prakash Jain. The film features Vijay and Amala Paul in the lead roles. The film's soundtrack and background score were composed by G. V. Prakash Kumar. The film is scheduled to release in Summer 2013. Cast * Vijay * Amala Paul * Sathyaraj * Rajiv Pillai * Nassar * Santhanam Production Samantha and Yami Gautam were initially approached for the lead female role. Later Amala Paul was selected. Vijay Yesudas was reported to be finalized for antagonist role in this film, but he denied it as rumour. Sathyaraj and Nassar was also selected as a part of this film. G. V. Prakash Kumar would be the music director while Nirav Shah would be the cinematographer. There are rumours stating that Asin as the first choice fr the role. The pooja of the film was held in Chennai on November 16, 2012. The first schedule began in Mumbai from November 23, 2012. A major portion of the film will be shot in Spain. Music G. V. Prakash Kumar is composing the soundtrack, teaming with A. L. Vijay for the fifth time. He has already composed two songs for the film, featuring lyrics written by Na. Muthukumar. Release The satellite rights of this movie has been snapped for a whopping by a market leader.
