Texas Real Estate Schools

Texas Real Estate Schools are divided into 3 major categories: Classroom, Trade Associations, and Correspondence/Alternative Delivery Methods. Classroom schools are your traditional schools in a classroom with an instructor. Trade Associations are your local associations and real estate support organizations. Correspondence/Alternative Delivery Methods come in a wide variety of types from traditional correspondence to CD-Rom courses to Online Courses to online-correspondence courses. With Correspondence/Alternative Delivery Methods, a school is not required to have a "brick and mortar" school however most schools in Texas have both Classroom courses and Correspondence/Alternative Delivery Methods.

In order to provide Real Estate Education in the State of Texas a school must have approval from the Texas Real Estate Commission. This requires several applications and a $20,000 surety bond. The Texas Real Estate Commission maintains a list of all approved providers and the type of school.
