Texas Jazz Jam Cruise

The Texas Jazz Jam Cruise is an annual music event that combines workshops for musicians and non-musicians, along with the option for musicians to jam to jazz music. The event is sponsored by the Austin Jazz Alliance. The current director of the Austin Jazz Alliance and the Texas Jazz Jam Cruise is . The Austin Jazz alliance held a kick-off event February 22, 2014 at SoundCheck Studios. The Jazz Jam is held aboard Royal Caribbean International's ship MS Navigator of the Seas. The ship departs from the Port of Galveston in Galveston, Texas. A portion of the proceeds from the event go towards helping several jazz non-profit organizations. For 2014 the organizations include the Austin Jazz Society, Women in Jazz, and the Traditional Jazz Society. Destinations *Jam Cruise 2014 will be held October 5-12, 2014 and made stops at Roatan, Honduras and Belize City, Belize and Cozumel, Mexico. |
