Tethlis

Tethlis the Slayer is a fictional character from the Warhammer Fantasy fictional universe. Tethlis drove the Dark Elves out of Ulthuan.

Timeline

All dates given are based on the Sigmarite Calendar.

c -963 - The first Great Dragons begin their slumber.

c -961 - Elf citizen regiments are formally trained.

c -956 - The Scourging starts. Every Dark Elf in Ulthuan will eventually be driven off.

c -916 - Naggarothi offensive is caught and destroyed in a carefully laid trap.

c -892 - At the Battle of Grey Canyon a huge army of Dark Elves is destroyed while encamped in the Shadowlands.

c -702 - In a final push, the Witch King launches an offensive during the harsh winter of the Shadowlands. They take several forts and towns, slaughtering or enslaving the populations.

c -696 - The Witch King's fortress at Anlec is taken by siege. The Altar of Khaine is toppled into the sea. Not a stone of Anlec is left unscathed.

c -693 - The infamous battle of the Waves is fought on the Blighted Isle, where the High Elves win a crushing victory over the Dark Elves. On the Isle, Tethlis find the Dragon Armour, Aenarion's suit of armour, but Tethlis and his men cannot find Aenarion's body. Tethlis dies under mysterious circumstances at the Shrine of Khaine and the fleet turns back. Rumours abound as to Tethlis's fate: some claim he dismissed his retuine and White Lion Bodygaurds, claiming he wanted to contemplate whether to continue the war or not alone with the Sword of Khaine. During his contemplation, a group of Dark Elf assassins butchered him outside the Shrine. Other's claim Tethlis's own bodyguard murdered him when he placed his hand on the Sword of Khaine and it writhed and started to come free and they struck him down to prevent the weapon of doom from being released into the world again.
