Terry Bankert

Terry Ray Bankert (born 1951) is an American lawyer and former politician from Michigan.
Early life, education, & military service
He graduated from the University of Michigan - Flint with a Bachelor of Arts in 1982 and a Master of Public Administration in 2005. He earned a Juris Doctor from the Western Michigan University Cooley Law School in 1992. In 2009, Bankert was a number of lawyers under consideration to be appointed by Governor Grandholm for the vacancy in the position of Probate Judge for Genesee County caused by the death of the judge.
Flint reorganized its governance structure, after the flint water crisis. The new governance structure required City Council to appoint an ombudsman, and the East Village Magazine quoted Bankert, a former ombudsman himself, pointing out that after more than a year and a half Council hadn't yet appointed one.<ref name=eastvillagemagazine2019-07-02/>

He has practiced law in Flint since 1994.<ref name="PW" />
