Tejinder Singh is an award winning journalist from the Indian side of the Kashmir valley. He was awarded the 2011 Ford Foundation International Fellowship, 2012 McCormick Foundation Fellowship**. In 2012 he was nominated form the World Sikh Awards (London), in media category Singh was injured in the terrorist attack on the congress rally on May 21, 2006 in which seven people were killed. Singh holds a Master of Arts Degree in Journalism and a Master of Science Degree in Journalism from the William Allen White School of Journalism from the University of Kansas. During the coverage of the 2010 unrest in the Kashmir valley, the house of Singh was attacked by a smoke bomb by the paramilitary force CRPF.
