Teddy Pierson

Teddy Pierson (born November 1971) was one of IGN Entertainment's Lead Editorial Managers and Community Manager. Teddy started out at GameSpy in 1999 as a beta tester for GameSpy Arcade, before GameSpy merged with IGN in 2004. He continued on to create their website covering the Battlefield series called Planet Battlefield that became widely successful. After the IGN/GameSpy merger he now covers the community side of IGN, overseeing the Planet Network & Vault Network (now known as IGN Game Sites) of community driven websites covering specific titles. He also is lead Administrator for the IGN Message Boards, which are among the top 5 most visited on the internet.
His IGN username and public persona at IGN is, -1313-Evil_Homer. This is rumored to be named after his dog.
Before joining IGN he worked for a New Jersey based newspaper, The Weekly News, where he headed up a national Internet newspaper network called "MyPaperOnline". Here he was lead webmaster and editorial director setting up websites for newspapers across the United States. Reaching over 40 websites total before the newspaper was bought out by The Star-Ledger.
He started out in the publishing world with his first site, NetworkingNews.org (defunct) back in 1997. The site covered the computer networking industry and gained much popularity. The site was even featured in the magazine Network World as a must-see website.
