Tecopa Francis Elementary School is located in the small town of Tecopa, CA. This formerly thriving mining town is now a peaceful village nestled in the southern portion of the Tecopa-Shoshone Basin. Local businesses include resorts in Tecopa Hot Springs, a single but fantastic restaurant, The Bistro, which has been featured on more than one occasion in the Los Angeles Times, and the amazing China Ranch Date Farm. Students come to Tecopa-Francis Elementary School from the local homes in Tecopa, but also from approximately 20 miles away in the secluded residential area known as Charleston View, which rests on the Nevada state line. The Tecopa-Francis Elementary Sidewinders are the pride of the region.
