Team Gallery is a prominent contemporary art gallery located in the SoHo neighborhood of New York City. Art Gallery Originally founded by José Freire and Lisa Ruyter in 1996, Freire has been the gallery’s sole owner and director since 2001. Team is often credited with a major role in the development of the careers of such notable young artists as Ryan McGinley, Banks Violette, Cory Arcangel, Gardar Eide Einarsson and Slater Bradley. Location The gallery moved from Chelsea to SoHo in 2006, and opened a second space, also in SoHo, in 2011.
