Tania Dibbs (born 1965) is an American painter, best known for her large format oil landscapes and skyscapes. Dibbs’ work captures the expansive open spaces and mood of the landscape. Her style ranges from representational to abstracted interpretations. She was quopted saying: “I am making an effort to suggest rather than state. On one level I am still painting the obvious, on another there is the interplay of pigment, texture and accident that evokes more of what is art in landscape. My aim is not to create just a depiction of a physical place. I am more interested in our internal world as reflected by nature. I use the landscape as a metaphor for our emotion, for our nature, for our humanity.” Dibbs has been featured in solo and group shows throughout the United States. Her work can be found in the collections of Lockheed Martin, Ed Bradley, and John Calamos among others. Her exhibitions include the Elliott Yeary Gallery in Aspen, Colorado, DFN Gallery in New York and Keating Fine Art in Basalt, Colorado.
