Taggart M. Romney (born March 1970, in Provo, Utah) is the eldest son of former Massachusetts governor and 2008 Republican candidate for U.S. President Mitt Romney. Raised in Massachusetts, he is a graduate of Brigham Young University (1994) and Harvard Business School (Master's, 1998). He began his career at Monitor Group, and after business school, worked for a startup called Members Connect (aka eGrad), Reebok, McKinsey & Company, and the Los Angeles Dodgers prior to becoming a part of his father's 2008 presidential campaign, where he worked as a campaign surrogate and made regular TV appearances on FoxNews and CNN. While in Los Angeles he, his wife Jen, and his three children resided in suburban La Canada Flintridge. Most recently, he has started a private equity firm, Solamere Capital, with a former colleague from the Romney campaign. Romney is well known in the Washington press for his candid statements and blog posts. He and his wife Jennifer and their three children live in Belmont, Massachusetts.
