Tactilate: Verb, to imagine the sense feeling of touch of something or someone. i.e. the touch equivalent of visualise (to tactilate) Prior to February 2013, there was no known English word that represented imagining the sense of touch. In February 2013, a competition was run on the Happy Animals Can Think facebook page to request people contribute their entry to invent a word that best represented imagining the sense of touch. The winning eligible entry (word must not have previously existed or be used for other purposes in current usage) was Tactilate. Tactilate was voted by over 1200 people globally as the best word to represent the definition. The author of the word tactilate is recognised as William Jelbert, author of the book: Happy Animals Can Think.
