TabTrax is a PC software application for creating and editing drum scores and importing and converting drum tabs. The ability to import drum tabs from the internet and convert to standard notation and play back via the PC's own sound card is of great value to drummers and non drummers needing a quick and easy way to create a drum track. There are hundreds of thousands of drum tabs freely available on the internet for almost every popular song ever written. TabTrax has a unique editor interface allowing drummers to place notes on the staff at a place in time "1 e & a 2 e & a" versus specifying the duration of the note. This is often more intuitive to drummers since unlike other instrument, drum hits do not have durations. TabTrax can import and export in midi format for compatibility with other music software applications. The program has been available since 2003 and has a world wide customer base of over 50,000 users.
