TaBJ

TaBJ is a modeling software for Twisting and Bending developed by Prof. K.C. Hui. TaBJ is officially launched in August, 2020. It was developed based on the technique of axial representation. The technique makes use of a curve in Cartesian space to define an axial space. Entities (e.g. points) of an object are represented in the axial space defined by this curve. The Cartesian location of all entities are obtained by converting from the axial space description. This approach allows an object to be twisted or bent by changing the shape of a curve. The technique can be considered as similar to free form deformation (FFD) technique. However, the axial representation approach only requires manipulating a single curve to deform an object.
