T.N. Baker

T.N. Baker is the author of three novels, Sheisty (2004), Still Sheisty (2004), and Dice (2007) and a contributor to the street anthology Cream (2005). Her literary works all focus on themes of love and betrayal and all end with shocking twist. Like all other Urban Literature book, Baker’s stories are filled with sex and violence while taking the term Sheisty to a whole new level. She has made appearances at many book festivals including the Harlem Book Fair, held in Harlem, New York every July as well as bookstores including the Hue-Man Bookstore and Café in New York City.

Before entering the world of publishing she was a receptionist during the day and a bartender at night. After enrolling in a college preparatory program where she was able to take a class in creative writing where she began developing the characters for her debut novel Sheisty. After reading several passages from her story, her writing teacher encouraged her to make writing her career and sent a copy of her manuscript to Vickie Stringer, author and founder of Triple Crown Publications. Vickie Stringer liked what she read so much that she signed T.N. Baker to a two book deal with TCP.

T.N. Baker was born and raised in Queens, New York and currently resides in Charlotte, North Carolina with her 12 year old daughter. She likes hot bubble baths and neo soul because it provides peace and tranquility. Her favorite movie is ', and her favorite book is The Coldest Winter Ever. According to Baker, The Coldest Winter Ever was not only a marvelous novel it also set the foundation for Urban Literature genre and gave the other authors the opportunity to produce the type of literature they loved.
