The process of technical translation at Synergium follows the EN 15038 standard which specifies the following translation process steps : translation, checking, revision, reviewing, proofreading and final verification.
Website or Software Localisation
The website or software localization process includes all three stages of translation, editing and proofreading (TEP): 1) choosing a translator with the required field experience; 2) translation (using the appropriate style and recommended terminology); 3) reviewing.
The website or software localisation editing stage consists of grammar checks, style checks, etc. Localisation specialists can also upload the translated and proofread texts into the Content Management System (CMS) by securing the required design formatting.
Translation
Translation is done by native speakers that are qualified in a specific field and tested to meet all language quality requirements. The use of translation memories is needed to ensure consistent translation.
Editing
Synergium provides a wide spectrum of editing services ranging from minor revision to a complete rewrite or a comparison between the translation and the original in order to check the consistency of style and ensure the correct terminology and grammar.
Proofreading
Proofreading is the last step in the translation process. It helps to ensure that the document is free from errors (spelling, grammatical errors and formatting issues).
