Swiss Quality Hotels International

Swiss Quality Hotels International is a non-profit organization and is the largest hotel chain in Switzerland. The Zurich based chain represents 60 hotels in 40 cities and resorts in Switzerland (60 Swiss member hotels) and Germany. The member hotels are 3 and 4 star. Each Swiss Quality member hotel is an independently owned and operated hotel, acting and voting as a member of the non-profit association. The hotels keep their independent identity and their own name but are marketed under the brand Swiss Quality Hotels International. In Switzerland the hotels are classified by the Swiss Hotel Association-Hotelleriesuisse or GastroSuisse and have at least been awarded the Quality Label Level I from the Swiss Tourism Quality Programme.
History
Swiss Quality Hotels International was founded in April 1986 by a group of German and Swiss hoteliers. With 19 initial members the organization was known until 2003 as “TOP International Hotels”. Nowadays, the organization operates independently and owns its own reservation system, “QOnline”. In 2001 Swiss Quality Hotels International introduced its own classification of hotels.
Swiss Quality Segmentation
In 2011 Swiss Quality Hotels has implemented an own strict hotel classification system as first Swiss Hotel cooperation. The four Swiss Quality classifications are “Swiss Quality Excellence”, “Swiss Quality Superior”, “Swiss Quality Value” und “Swiss Quality Economy".

Comfortable hotels, ideal both for the individual guest and for groups for whom price plays a role, yet who still wish to experience a certain level of comfort. Local cuisine usually available either in the hotel or nearby. Some also have limited fitness training facilities.
