Swami Gyananand

Swami Gyananand or better known as Swami Gyananand ji Maharaj, is an Indian Mahamandaleshwar saint who is known for his research on Bhagavad Gita and is a famous Gita speaker. He has interpreted the Gita and inspired many professionals globally. He is also a Hindu philosopher and a Social worker. He is a founder of an organisation that follows Vaishnavism called "Shri Krishna Kripa Sewa Samiti". He has also founded another organization called "GIEO GITA" to promote Bhagavad Gita, so he is also known as Gita Manishi Swami Shri Gyananand ji Maharaj.
Early Life
Swami Gyananand was born 15 May 1957 in Ambala to Ramji Das and Kaushalya Devi. He earned an M.A. in political science, and later became a student of Gurudev Swami Gitanand, from whom he learned the philosophical interpretation of Gita.
Life as a Vaishnav Spiritual Saint
He is a devotee of the Lord Krishna and considers him as Almighty. He is well versed in Gita. After practicing meditation and yoga under his guru Swami Gitanandji, he founded an organisation called Shri Krishna Kripa Dham. He conceptualized various writings that are chanted by many Lord Krishna followers to please him, like "Shri Krishna Kripa Amit," "Gita Gyan Bhajan Mala," "Gyan Chhandavali," "Shri Krishna Mere Pyare," "Gyan Manan Mala - Parts 1 and 2," "Gita Manan Mala," "Divyata Ki Jhalkiyan," "Bhagvat Stuti Evam Prarthna," "Hamare Gurudev," "Vidyarthiyon evam Yuvaon ke Prati". He also founded GIEO GITA, under which he annually holds International Gita Mahotsav in Kurukshetra. He is the author of many books, but his most prominent writings are Gyan Sadhna. and Kripa. In 2016, he founded a Gita research center, inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Aam Aadmi Party leaders protested the allotment of a large piece of land in Kurukshetra for a Gita research center, asking for justification for the land allotment.. But people from Kurukshetra supported it as spiritual development. Opposition in the Haryana Assembly opposed the idea of compulsory attendance at Gita lectures by Swami Gyananand in Bhiwani, claiming it to be enforcement of a religious idea on all sections of society.
